We’re 2 weeks into the New Year and this is about the time that people start to throw their resolutions out the window.  Maybe you’ve not stayed on track like you wanted or you are not seeing the results you had hoped for.  First off…we’re ONLY 2 weeks in!!!  You need to give yourself time to get into the swing of things, new schedules, and habits and just BREATHE!!

Resolutions are tough.  Anytime you try and change a habit it is not easy.  No one is perfect and we all have “those” days where the plan we have set out with just doesn’t happen.  Look at where things went wrong, re-evaluate and plan for a better tomorrow.  You have 311 more tomorrows this year.

Take a look at the resolutions you have made.  Are they “too big”?  This is where the “go big or go home” mentality just may not work.  Consider picking something smaller, like to stop drinking sugary drinks or to walk 200 more steps every day.  Even seemingly small changes will have a compound effect on your overall goals.  With time these small changes will turn into new habits and you’ll start to see the results you’ve been working so hard for.

Bottom-line…DON’T GIVE UP!!!  Learn to take one day at a time.  Find your strength in your groups and communities to help lift you up when things get tough.
